Effective time management and high productivity are very important to me and most readers here at Productive Writers. That’s why I put together this list of the most important relevant hashtags for Twitter and Google+.
Using Twitter Hashtags
You can use these hashtags for your own tweets and Google+ shares, or you can use them to search those networks for interesting shares. Also try them on other social networks that use hashtags.
I’ve written about the proper etiquette for using hashtags and why freelance writers should consider using Twitter in my post Twitter Hashtags for Freelance Writers. You can also do basic research at Hashtags.org.
Now let’s get to it. I’ve ordered them from the ones I consider most important and the most used, down to those that are least important and least used.

Thanks Anne. I like to maximize the reach of my tweets, and hashtags are a great way to do that.

I have recently put up my twitter account and I try to learn the basic things about hashtags and how I can make the best out of the time I spend in twitter.
Thanks for the great resources John!

I’m glad to help out Manolis. Have fun tweeting!

A nice list there John
Discovering hashtags can be difficult if you have not seen them around, or have not taken the time to explore. I personally use hashtagify to find ones that I need and help in my industry. Which is more social media. But this list could come in handy for other post types :>
Thanks

Ashley, I use hashtags that are widely used and thus most likely to be searched for on Twitter.

I recently started using RiteTag and it’s been an eye-opener. It’s only free for a month though. Guess I’ll be back to Hastagify soon.

Thanks, this article has been very helpful. I used to think the use of hashtags lend quite a spammy feel to any marketing initiative but having read your and Kristi’s articles changed my mind. These have helped me formulate strategies on growing an online brand 😉

It’s so easy to miss the best hashtags. I should have used the #ProductivityChat hastag the other day when I ran my #OnlineCareer chat on productivity tools for remote workers. Whoops. Maybe next time. 🙂
